Responding to the need for more flexible loan capital, NHSA established CHC as an affiliate corporation to originate Interim Development financing and Multifamily Permanent loans to the NeighborWorks® network. While NHSA purchases loans from NeighborWorks organizations and their lender partners, CHC originates direct loans to NeighborWorks organizations.

CHC's diverse lending activity includes loans that benefit nonprofit developers so they can develop all types of affordable housing. CHC’s customer base has a national reputation of delivering these products in a total neighborhood revitalization context. CHC provides Interim Development and Permanent Multifamily loans to NeighborWorks organizations.
